Gourmet Wine Tours of Provence

A Provence Wine Tour is a many varied thing with the classics from Châteauneuf-du-Pape which never fail to impress even the most jaded palate, and some of the exceptional offerings nearby in Gigondas, Vacqueyras and Beaumes de Venise not forgetting the lesser known Côtes du Ventoux and Côtes de Provence where some amazing discoveries are to be made. Of course the Côte du Luberon, Coteaux d’Aix en Provence, Coteaux Varois, Cassis, Bandol, Palette and Bellet just to name a few others have some amazing domains waiting to be discovered by wine lovers… and we have the addresses. So contact us on for your own made to measure Provence Wine Tour. You will be met at your hotel by your driver guide and shown some of the best kept secrets of the region.

Each Wine Tour is made to measure to suit your location and specific request.

The regions proposed on our Provence Wine Tours are:

  • The Southern Rhone Valley with its star Châteauneuf du Pape. Here we can take you to several domains demonstrating the powerful variations that can be found in this mythical vineyard. Not far from Chateauneuf are the vineyards of Gigondas, Vaqueyras, Rasteau, Cairanne and Beaumes de Venise whose variety will astound you, and not forgetting the Côte du Rhone and Côte de Ventoux wines outside of the appellations where we have many a secret up our sleeves! These southern Rhone Wine Tours can be complemented with tasting lunches, wine and chocolate tasting or can be combined with a cooking class for part of the group less inspired by just wine tasting whilst the others taste and choose the wines to complement the meal in preparation.
  • The Luberon and Ventoux regions boasts some incredible domains that take you off the beaten path of the reknowned neighbours in the Rhone. These two wine growing regions border each other and can inserted into a general discovery of the region or combined with a cooking class as above.
  • Cassis and Bandol are two neighbouring wine growing areas overlooking the Mediterranean sea. Each can treated on its own but combing the two in a wine tour over one or two days is a treat indeed. Cassis is the first vineyard to gain its AOC (controlled designation of origin) in Provence and is synonymous with the beautifully crisp whites which are the essential part of the production. In complete contrast Bandol produces powerful reds using a minimum of 51% Mourvèdre grape which is to be tasted to be believed!
  • The Coteaux d'Aix en Provence, Palette and the Coteaux Varois abound in incredible properties producing world class wines that remain almost unknown outside of Provence. We have spent many a day tasting and visiting to uncover some of the hidden gems of these areas.
  • The small but outstanding vineyard of Bellet above the city of Nice is not to be missed if you are on the Riviera. Here you will find floral aromatic whites, robust reds and its rosés whose unique bouquet is rendered by the use of the rare cépage Braquet.
  • The Cotes de Provence  are basically the vineyards that do not fall into the above appellations. That may seem putting them into rather generic category, but if you know where to look there are some truly amazing wines to be found. You may choose a wine tour from  St Tropez where there are some superb rosé wines which make for a perfect apéritif, as well as a wine to accompany a Mediterranean feast.
